Gainey Family

There’s something so fulfilling about photo shoots involving friends.  I’ve been friends with the Gainey family for years, so when Lindsey called me for a photo session I was excited on two levels:  getting to see the family again, and capturing their stinkin’-cute faces on camera!

One of the talents I’ve developed that bring return clients is my ability to see the client’s vision and give them what they hope for.  Lindsey wanted a warm tone to their family photos.  The beautiful, soft red of Snow Canyon and even the white rocks in the evening offered the perfect setting to achieve Lindsey’s request.

Whenever you’re working with a family, one of the trickiest aspects is keeping the attention of the children.  Here’s the scenario:  Two rough-n-tough little guys taken out to the expansive Snow Canyon.  The great outdoors just calls to boys to run wildly and exercise their imaginations while their little bodies are zipping around.  How to tame them long enough to capture some good shots?  Fortunately, I am mobile too and love running around as much as the kids do!  When they’d stop to take a breath, I’d snap a shot.  Take a look at the outcome.  Pretty much perfect, I’d say!  And who can go wrong with fun-loving personalities that can’t help but shine through?!
